Australian Dance Theatre 2023 Season Announced

Australian Dance Theatre is thrilled to share their exciting plans for 2023 – it is a year full of unmissable events!

The new year includes: Two World Premieres from Artistic Director, Daniel Riley; a program of all-new Australian works exclusively at ADT’s home, The Odeon; their first performances at Sydney Opera House since 2009; performing to fans in Perth for the first time since 2015; a major regional South Australia tour; their growing Learning Program for students and young artists; and more still to be announced!

Highlights of the upcoming season include: Tracker, THE  HUM, and Cultivate:One.

Premiering at Sydney Festival, Tracker is presented in association with ILBIJERRI Theatre Company and tells the story of Uncle Alec ‘Tracker’ Riley. Presented as part of The Australian Ballet’s 60th anniversary Identity season, Daniel’s new work THE HUM is centered upon the tangible yet invisible creative connection between performers, orchestra and audience in a never-before-seen collaboration. Finally, Cultivate:ONE is an exclusive season of all new Australian works premiering in November 2023 at ADT’s home, The Odeon. Celebrating the rich artistic talent within and around Australian Dance Theatre, the Cultivate series will provide a platform for established and emerging artists to develop and present their work for audiences on Kaurna Yerta.

To kick-off their 2023 season, Tracker will be performed at the Sydney Festival 10-14 January, the Perth Festival 1-4 March, and the Adelaide Festival 10-18 March.

ADT also has launched a brand-new website to coincide with their 2023 Season announcement, which has been developed with the very generous support of their Partner Enoki.
