This transformation introduces a parallel leadership model designed to sharpen focus, enhance collaboration, and ensure long-term sustainability across A197’s diverse portfolio of programs, including TASDANCE, SITUATE, ARTERY, TRIP, and HUB.

Under the new structure, former Co-Creative Directors Adam Wheeler and Emma Porteus have transitioned into Executive Director roles, serving as Co-CEOs of A197. This model enables a concentrated approach to key areas while fostering flexibility and cross-organizational cohesion. Adam Wheeler will lead TASDANCE, ARTERY, and HUB, driving innovation in dance, community engagement, and creative hubs. Emma Porteus will helm SITUATE and TRIP, advancing interdisciplinary arts initiatives and global artist residencies.
