Applications open for EDC’s Winter Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive

Expressions Dance Company student training programsExpressions Dance Company (EDC) is offering students a chance to “dance into their future” again! Following its Summer Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive held in January, EDC is now presenting its Winter Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive (BCDI) on July 4-8 in Brisbane.

BCDI, regarded as one of Australia’s best contemporary dance training programs, gives participants the chance to work exclusively with the company’s award-winning dancers, as well as some of Australia’s most respected dance artists.

EDC’s BCDI is now offered across two levels: Aspire (the pre-tertiary program) and Momentum (the tertiary and professional program.)

The Aspire Program caters for dancers from the age of 13 and upwards who may be in full time dance training but not yet in tertiary level dance training. The course focuses on training in contemporary dance technique, building confidence and preparing students for further studies in dance.

On the other hand, the Momentum Program is specifically designed for dancers aged 17 and over who are currently in full time tertiary level training or are professional dancers already in the industry. It gives them the opportunity to build skills and identify pathways for continuing their career in dance.

Spaces are limited for each program so interested dancers should jump online and apply today! All programs will be hosted at the QUT Dance Studios in Kelvin Grove, QLD. Dancers will be on campus from 9am to 5pm daily. The cost is $570 per person.
