Applications for NAISDA 2023 are Open 

Discover culture, creativity, passion and possibility at NAISDA Dance College in 2023! NAISDA invites applications from aspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dancers and performing artists to study with them next year. Applications are via a quick online form which takes no more than 10 minutes to complete, but don’t wait too long – applications close 22 August. Make 2023 the year to begin your journey in performing arts and apply today! 

Applications to study at NAISDA in 2023 are open for two programs. 10988NAT Certificate III in Dance Practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between 16-26 years of age who may have some or no dance or cultural training but have a passion for dance and culture. 10841NAT Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance Performance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists entering their final 18 months of study before progressing to a professional dance career; or for artists already practising within the industry wishing to upskill their professional practice.

NAISDA’s nationally accredited courses are rich in cultural learning and practice and are intended to provide skills, applied knowledge, theoretic knowledge and cultural Knowings across a range of dance genres from contemporary to cultural dance, with the primary intention of preparing for successful careers in the preforming arts. 

If you are interested in applying, you will need to do so by 22 August. After submitting an online application, you will receive an email confirmation with further instructions. Successful candidates will be invited to a three-day onsite audition at NAISDA on Darkinjung Country, Kariong, New South Wales from 4 to 6 October 2022. Following auditions, NAISDA’s review panel will meet and all auditionees will be contacted. Successful auditionees will receive an offer to study at NAISDA in 2023. Term One commences 30 January, 2023.
