15 Scholarships to Joffrey Ballet School

Joffrey Ballet School at VDF 2018Joffrey Ballet School Trainee Program Director Era Jouravlev will be teaching two Master Classes at the 2018 Energetiks Victorian Dance Festival on February 17 and 18 at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens, Melbourne. If she spots a dancer that she believes would benefit from a trip to the prestigious New York City dance school, she will award them a scholarship!

 

In total, the Joffrey Ballet School is offering three Full-Time Trainee Program Scholarships and 12 Summer Intensive Scholarships to Aussie student dancers at VDF. The fulltimers will be invited to study at Joffrey Ballet School in NYC for an extended period of time. Those receiving summer intensive scholarships can choose from one of the intensives happening this July across America. There are Summer Dance Intensives focused on Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip-Hop, Character Dance and more in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and more.

 

Joffrey Ballet School Australian AuditionsThe Joffrey Ballet School will also have an Exhibition Booth in the Market Place at VDF. There dancers can learn more about the Joffrey Ballet School’s programs and meet Jouravlev in person.

 

Also at VDF, dancers can enjoy ballet classes from Matthew Lawrence, a former principal dancer at Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Australian Ballet and Queensland Ballet. Male dancers can experience Boys-Only Ballet classes, sponsored by RAD Australia.

 

Joffrey Ballet School classIn addition, VDF offers classes from the industry’s best in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre and Audition Technique. Royal Caribbean International representatives will teach Cruise Ship Repertoire too.
