12th Australian Choreographic Competition

Presented by Geelong Dance Network Inc., the 12th Annual Australian Choreographic Competition will be held Saturday, July 5 in Geelong, Victoria. Applications are now open through Friday, May 30.

The competition has two categories that choreographers can enter. Category 1 is open to secondary school students age 15-19. Category 2 is open to tertiary and adult choreographers age 19 and over.

Performers have the opportunity to win $4,500 in total prize money, with the Category 1 First Prize Winner receiving $1,500 and the Category 2 First Prize Winner receiving $2,000. Choreographers can also compete for the People’s Choice Award, based on votes cast during the competition.

A Splash!Dance Festival major event, the Australian Choreographic Competition will be staged at The Playhouse at Geelong Performing Arts Centre, located at 50 Little Malop Street in Geelong, Victoria.
