Travis Wall to hold audition at VDF

With much anticipation, Travis Wall is returning to Australia in April for the hugely popular Victorian Dance Festival.

This year the Festival promises to be bigger and bolder, with a new larger location at Batman Royale. It’ll include four dance halls, an outdoor dance market and two full days of workshops with leading choreographers from across Australia and the world. One of those inspiring creatives is Travis Wall, direct from New York, returning to VDF after his classes last year in June.

On Friday it was announced that Wall will not only teach at the Festival, but also hold an audition for dancers to join his company, Shaping Sound, and tour across America with him. What an opportunity! The industry has been a buzz ever since the announcement was made.

The audition will be held at the Festival, exclusively for Festival Attendees over 16 years of age. Wall will also teach five classes at the Festival for dancers under 13, over 13 and a professional class. Plus, he will also lead a class exclusively for dance teachers at Vitality Dance Teacher Day, to be held at the Melbourne Zoo Leopard Lodge the day before the Festival starts on Friday, April 12.
