Registration open for MCB’s 2017 auditions

Melbourne City Ballet (MCB) has announced that registration for its 2017 auditions is now open. All auditions for the emerging artist programs and the company will be held on Sunday, September 25.

Professional dancers are invited to MCB’s annual company auditions to be seen by the artistic staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to be considered for the 2017 season.

For upcoming, training artists, there will be auditions for the Full Time Elite Program to earn an Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance.) This program requires eight hours of training per day, five days per week. Young artists who complete each year of this course successfully will gain accreditation each year until the Advanced Diploma Level is reached (auspiced by ATOD RTO #31624).

There will also be auditions for MCB’s Final Bridging Program, or its Finishing Year option. The organisation offers emerging artists the chance to gain experience and exposure working with MCB company members on performances throughout the year while polishing their skills for a modern performance market in this pre-professional program.
