‘Pieces for Small Spaces’ at Lucy Guerin Inc

Lucy Guerin Inc in Melbourne will soon present its 2016 Pieces for Small Spaces Season. Pieces for Small Spaces is a unique opportunity for five choreographers to challenge their practice, take risks and present a new short dance work as part of a professional performance season.

Lucy Guerin Inc, a company that values scale, generosity and community, is aligning this season of Pieces for Small Spaces with its ongoing “green efforts.” Bringing an environmentally mindful focus to the season, the company is encouraging and supporting the commissioned choreographers to investigate environmentally sustainable arts practices, whilst also developing a distinct voice and approach to their work.

The five choreographers include Lz Dunn, Angela Goh, Leah Landau, Chad McLachlan and Sandra Parker.

Curated by Lucy Guerin and Jo Lloyd, Pieces for Small Spaces will be presented Wednesday 14 – Saturday 17 December at 7 pm, and on Sunday 18 December at 5 pm. All performances will take place at Lucy Guerin Inc Studio, located at 28 Batman Street, West Melbourne.
