Norwegian Cruise Line to hold auditions

Norwegian Cruise Lines Auditions in AustraliaCalling all professional dancers, singers and performers! Norwegian Cruise Line is holding auditions in Australia in early November!

 

First up, Norwegian Cruise Line will hold auditions in Sydney on Wednesday, November 5 for open lead roles in the musical productions Legally Blonde and Rock Of Ages. Auditions for female roles are set for 10 a.m. and male roles at 1 p.m. These auditions will be held at Sydney Dance Company, located at The Wharf, Pier 4, Hickson Rd, Walsh Bay NSW 2000.

 

For these same roles, Norwegian Cruise Line will next hold auditions in Melbourne on Monday, November 17. Again, auditions for female roles are set for 10 a.m. and male roles at 1 p.m. The site is Patrick Studios, located at 2/359 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria, 3207.

 

Norwegian Cruise Line is looking for performers for the Legally Blonde roles of Elle Woods, Vivienne Kensington, Emmett Forrest and Warner Huntington III. For Rock Of Ages, Norwegian is seeking performers to play Sherrie Christian, Regina, Drew Dillenbeck and Lonny Barnett.

 

Norwegian Cruise Lines to hold auditions in AustraliaWhile in Australia, Norwegian will also hold general auditions for dancers and singers as well as Nickelodeon show hosts and costume characters.

 

The open auditions for dancers will first be held in Sydney (again at Sydney Dance Company studios) at noon on Thursday, November 6. Auditions for singers will be there the next day, on Friday, November 7 at 10 a.m.

 

Then open auditions for dancers will be held in Brisbane on Monday, November 10 at noon. The next day, on Tuesday, November 11, singers can audition at 10 a.m., with both tryouts being held at Mad Dance House, located at 43 Adelaide St. / Level 1-2, Brisbane, QLD 4000.

 

Lastly, dancers can audition on Tuesday, November 18 at noon and singers on Wednesday, November 19 at 10 a.m. at Patrick Studios, Melbourne.

 

All auditioning dancers should have strong technique and loads of experience in multiple styles. For the audition, they will learn a variety of combinations and may be asked to tap. Auditionees must have an athletic, toned body. Gymnastics, aerial training, tumbling and partnering skills are a plus. Dancers should bring a picture and resume stapled together, as well as jazz shoes/character heels and tap shoes.

 

Singers should have strong vocal abilities and dynamic personalities for R&B, Pop/Rock and Contemporary Musical Theatre. Auditionees should prepare 16-32 bars of their best ballad and up-tempo vocals. They are required to bring sheet music in the proper key for the provided accompanist and should wear proper dance attire.

 

Norwegian Cruise Lines to hold auditions in Sydney, Melbourne and BrisbaneFinally, Nickelodeon auditions will be held in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for show hosts and Team Nick Costume Characters. Sydney auditions will again be at Sydney Dance Company studios, set for Thursday, November 6. Then Brisbane auditions will be Monday, November 10 at Mad Dance House. Lastly, Melbourne auditions will be Tuesday, November 18 at Patrick Studios. All show host auditions are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and costume characters at 10:30 a.m.

 

Nickelodeon hosts should be actors who are great on microphones and can memorize large scripts. Team Nick Costume Characters must be females from 5 foot to 5’4 and males from 5’3 to 5’7 in height.
