National College of Dance open to auditions

Australia Full Time Dance Course NSWThe National College of Dance (NCD) in Lambton, NSW invites dancers interested in dancing full-time in 2018 to book their audition now, as auditions are taking place this month.

Auditioning dancers will join college students in classical class before completing an individual audition and a meeting with Artistic Director Brett Morgan, former Australian Ballet dancer, Sydney Dance Company associate artistic director and leader of the Mod Dance Company.

The National College of Dance offers the following courses: Certificate III In Dance, Certificate IV of Dance, Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance), and its Intensive Training Program.

The Cert. III, Cert. IV and Diploma of Dance courses require one year of full-time training. (Completing the Cert. III course in two years part-time is an option though.) The newer Intensive Training Program is a part-time plus studies program specifically designed for students from Year 7 upwards.

NCD graduate and current Ballett Zürich dancer Belle Beasley previously commented, “I did not think it possible that I would achieve all my goals, but my teachers at National College of Dance made it all possible. It has been an incredible experience and I now feel I can go out into the world and continue to develop as a dancer with that enriching experience behind me.”

NCD graduate and current Houston Ballet dancer Caleb Durbin also said, “Since joining NCD in 2013, I have seen improvement beyond belief. I remember setting goals that seemed impossible, but everything about my ballet and other styles of dance improved dramatically. I spent hours in the studio with teachers who knew exactly what they’re doing, and how to get each of us where we need to be.”
