Lucy Guerin Inc. celebrates its 15th Birthday

Lucy Guerin Inc., the contemporary dance company based in Melbourne, is turning 15 and you’re invited to the party. The special birthday celebration is set for Saturday, May 13 from 7 to 11 p.m., with performances from 8 p.m.
 It will feature DJs, a cash bar with cheap drinks, tasty snacks, good vibes and a birthday cake.

Special guest performances will include Nat Abbott, Bec Jensen and Sarah Aiken; Antony Hamilton and Melanie Lane; Benjamin Hancock; Stephanie Lake; Jo Lloyd; Gideon Obarzanek; and Yellow Wheel, featuring a special music composition by Alisdair Macindoe.

Tickets start at $25 and all proceeds go directly to the company’s programs for independent dance-makers. All ticket sales will be matched by a Plus One grant.

Lucy Guerin Inc. is located at 28 Batman Street in West Melbourne. The company was first established in 2002 to create and tour new dance works. Known for the skill and originality of its small group of performers, it’s described as a “flexible organisation dedicated to challenging and extending the art of contemporary dance.”
