Co3 announces 2017 Programming

Western Australia’s contemporary dance companyWestern Australia’s contemporary dance company Co3 recently revealed its 2017 Season to its supporters in an event at the Courtyard in the State Theatre Centre of WA.

 

The jam-packed year ahead will include the programs Frank Enstein, THE ZONE and Crazy Times. (Read more about each below.) Frank Enstein: Wednesday–Saturday, April 5-8 at Studio Underground, State Theatre Centre WA. Co3’s announcement read: “We are focusing on partnerships next year and will present a fantastic new work with The Farm, Frank Enstein – a collaboration with Directors Gavin Webber and Grayson Millwood to premiere at the 2017 Bleach* Festival. With a cast of Co3 dancers and The Farm collaborators, Frank Enstein is a retelling of the classic tale for children and adults.” 

 

THE ZONE: Thursday–Saturday, September 7-9 and Tuesday–Saturday, September 12-16 at Heath Ledger Theatre, State Theatre Centre of WA. Co3’s announcement read: “We will return to the Heath Ledger Theatre with THE ZONE, collaborating with musician Eden Mulholland to play the live score, and world renowned Japanese architect Satoshi Okada to join the creative team as Set Designer. Profound yet playful, the performance chronicles the creation of community told through Raewyn Hill’s stunning movement language.”

 

Crazy Times: WA Dates TBA. Co3’s announcement read: “A new work specially made for Primary-school-aged children will be developed in collaboration with Sydney Dance Company… by the brilliant choreographer Antony Hamilton and Dramaturg Matthew Whittet. With the premiere in March at the Sydney Opera House, Perth and regional WA season dates will be announced in early 2017.”
