Ausdance Victoria offers Teacher Workshop

Ausdance VictoriaThis year’s International Dance Educators Workshop (IDEW) will be hosted by Ausdance Victoria on Thursday, December 3 and Friday, December 4 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Main Pavilion at the Meat Market, located at 5 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne.

Focused on “exploring the paradigm between dance artists and dance educators,” the workshop will allow dance teachers and directors to immerse themselves in a two-day interactive and practical workshop alongside other leading educators and professionals in the industry.

IDEW is designed to cater to all dance teachers and dance educators, as part of their professional development to teach dance or use dance to teach other subjects. It’s an invaluable opportunity for teachers and practitioners to network, exchange ideas and learn new approaches in a practical, informal and engaging environment.

Workshop facilitators, who will also join a panel discussion, are Adam Wheeler and Jason Winters. Plus, Kay Armstrong, Sid Mathur and Tim Harbour will participate.

For Ausdance members the two-day pass costs $195. For non-members, it costs $235. For one day, it costs $108 for members and $128 for non-members. Members include Ausdance Victoria Members and VCE VET Dance Teachers/Educators registered with Ausdance Victoria.
