Aus Ballet School presents ‘Showcase 2015’

The Australian Ballet School will present Showcase 2015 on Sunday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Centre Melbourne State Theatre.

“We are proud to present this unique opportunity to see the stars of the future perform with the creativity, passion and artistic expression that has marked the School’s first year under the leadership of Lisa Pavane,” states the School’s programme description.

Audiences will be thrilled by the excellence and artistry of the School’s hard-working and talented students. Plus, all levels will be represented this year in a diverse repertoire that fulfils the School’s mission to “honour the past, achieve in the present and create the future.”

The programme includes: the premiere of Divertissement by Simon Dow; the premiere of WIYABAL by Jessie Martin; Invisible Icon by Margaret Wilson; Grand (excerpt) by Graeme Murphy AO; and The Warriors by Robert Ray.
