Auditions open for Newcastle Ballet Theatre

Full Time Dance Training in Cardiff, NSWNewcastle Ballet Theatre, an elite ballet school commencing its fifth year in Cardiff, NSW, invites aspiring professional ballet dancers to audition for 2017 intake to a full time dance course. Courses include a Certificate III in Dance, a Certificate IV in Dance and a Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching.

 

If accepted, students will train approximately 30 hours a week, from Tuesday-Saturday. They will receive private coaching, helping to build them into stronger technicians and well-rounded artists.

 

The full time dancers train in classical ballet, contemporary, pointe, pas de deux and Pilates under instructors like Kristy Tancred, a former principal dancer with Augusta Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre and Eugene Ballet/Ballet Idaho (all in the USA.)

 

Other faculty members include Rider D. Vierling (also a former principal with Augusta Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre and Eugene Ballet/Ballet Idaho); Meg Akerman (founding member of The Australian Ballet); and Jake Burden (a former dancer with Leipzig Ballet in Germany and Singapore Dance Theatre).
