2018 Australian Dance Teaching Festival

Perth Dance Teacher Workshop EventAre you a dance teacher working and living in Australia? Then listen up because here’s something just for you! The 2018 Australian Dance Teaching Festival will present four events as part of its one festival. The events are tailored to teachers and Year 11 and 12 dance students.

 

Offering numerous workshops between February and March, the Festival contributes to these Professional Teaching Standards: 2.1, 2.2, 3.2, 3.3, and 8.2.

 

There will be practical workshops in Choreography Improvisation by Professor Scott Putman (USA). Jane Andrewartha (VIC) will lead a presentation in Certificate 111 in Assistant Dance Teaching. Following this there will be a workshop on “establishing a safe and comprehensive movement foundation in the early years of dance training as a basis for technical training.”
